October 2010 - Abingdon Growth in Deals with New Tenants for Office and Warehouse Space
VSL and Partners have always been very active in the Abingdon office and industrial markets. We have acted for Standard LIfe at Abingdon Business Park since they purchased the site (formerly the MG works) in 1983 as well as Brixton /ING on Nuffield Way since 1995. We have recently completed of three further deals in the town to bolster our credentials.
ATM Solutions, one of the leading providers of ATM machines and servicing has recently taken a lease of around 4,000 sq ft of industrial and warehouse space at Unit 15 Blacklands Way on Abingdon Business Park at a rent of around £7 per sq ft. The unit was ready fitted for their purpose which allowed ATM to move in without singificant upfront cost, an important factor in letting space during leaner times (even if your job is to dispense cash!).
Opcare are one of the UK's leading providers in the prosthetics and orthotics industry. They have been rapidly expanding during 2010 at their industrial premises at Nuffield Way in Abingdon and required additional purpose built office space in the immediate Abingdon area to assist their continued growth. We managed to negotiate a lease for Standard Life on additional offices at Windrush Court on the Abingdon Business Park as well as a new lease for ING Real Estate on Opcare's existing premises at Nuffield Way. Two happy Landlords!
