May 2011 - Office Barn Conversions Still Proving Popular

20/05/2011

The office conversion market has proved very popular over the last 10-15 years as local planning authorities resisted residential conversion on many traditional buildings, opting instead for commercial uses. We have come across many of these conversions, some good and some bad. One of the best ones is at Crowmarsh Battle Barns near Wallingford whose owner won awards for the beautiful conversion of the 300 year old timber framed buildings. Often the problem with letting these barns is not the building themselves, but the lack of mobile coverage or high telecoms infrastructure costs due to their remote location. Crowmarsh Battle Barns has none of those problems with a 100 mbs lease line in place and a wide selection of tenants in the software and hi-tech sectors. MMR Research have just joined the other companies on site having secured 7,500 sq ft of accommodation at around £15 per sq ft. MMR specialise in providing detailed quantitive research for clients around the world and should fit in very well at Crowmarsh.
