VSL looks for more convenience store sites
VSL & Partners, Oxfordshire’s leading commercial property consultants, are looking for new sites for food chain convenience stores.
Director Tom Barton said: “We recently acquired the second Morrisons retail convenience operation in Oxford and we are now looking for sites between 2,000 and 5,000 sq ft that might be useful for a similar outlet.
“There is a shift in the way that people shop and we have been involved in three such developments recently.”
One of the first was acquiring Unit 9 at Suffolk House, Summertown for Sainsbury. VSL agreed a 15-year lease at a rental of £120,000 per annum with a 10-year break option.
VSL was also instrumental in locating premises for Tesco at 83-85 London Road, which is currently being fitted out.
The deal on the second Morrisons convenience store in Oxford involved premises of 4,500 sq ft at 381 Cowley Road on a 15-year lease with a 10-year break.
