Major New Bicester Industrial Scheme Nears Completion
major new warehouse development is taking shape in Bicester.
Albion Land is developing seven units totaling 146,000 sq ft in a new scheme known as Network @ Link 9 on Skimmingdish Lane in Bicester. The development will be completed this summer and 4 units have already been sold.
Only 3 Individual units from 14,000 sq. ft. up to 30,000 sq. ft. remain available, they can be combined to create larger sizes. These units are available freehold or to lease.
Developer Albion Land is also seeking reserved matter planning permission for a third phase of development comprising a speculative 120,000 sq. ft. unit and a ‘built to suit’ 170,000 sq ft unit within the wider Link 9 scheme. The 120,000 sq ft building will be ready for occupation in summer 2019.
Tom Barton, director at agents VSL, said: “We are seeing very strong demand in the industrial sector in Bicester and this development is a real vote of confidence in the local economy. Bicester continues to grow rapidly on the back of excellent employment opportunities and the area is attracting significant inward investment from distribution, high value manufacturing and science led companies”
Albion Land is one of the most active commercial developers in the region. Simon Parsons a director of Albion Land said: “We are delighted with the take up at Link 9 to date with four units now sold alongside an 80,000 sq. ft. sale to British Bakels. Based on the level of current demand we are confident we will agree occupier deals on the remaining units at this speculative industrial scheme quickly. We are looking forward to pressing the button on the new 120,000 sq. ft. unit as soon as planning is granted. Bicester is a great location with a rapidly expanding population and workforce, excellent road and rail links and world renowned retail amenities.”
Albion Land has further development land with planning permission for a further 600,000 sq ft in Bicester for leasehold or freehold bespoke occupier development.
