Elmsbrook is a pioneering development within the NW Bicester Eco Town, the first in the UK to be a true Carbon Zero development. The initial phase of development total 393 residential units but future development is anticipated which will further expand the number of units in this area.

Planning has been submitted by Hallam Land Management for Hawkwell Village (3,100 units).  Further development is likely at Himley Village and Firethorn. In total the NW Bicester Eco Town will provide housing for 6,000 homes.

The site is located in the heart of the exemplar phase of Elmsbrook on Charlotte Avenue and is opposite the existing Eco Business Centre, called Perch@ The Eco Business Centre.  A new Community Centre and café are currently under construction adjacent to the Eco Business Centre.

The site presents an opportunity for commercial development to support the neighbouring communities and should continue to follow the design criteria and ethos of the Eco Town.  A range of retail and business opportunities are possible to service the growing residential communities.

PLANNING

Outline planning permission was granted in under consent 19/01360/F for a mixed use development of up to 3,000 sq m with supporting site provisions within Use Classes A1/ A2/ A3/ A4/ A4/ B1/ D1 (superseded by Class E use).
